Motorcycle Rental Requirements

• 25 years of age or older
• 3 years riding experience on a same size motorcycle (negotiable)
• Valid motorcycle license (must be present at time of pick-up)
• $1,000 to $2,000 damage deposit on Visa or Mastercard Credit card
• You MUST HAVE roadside assistance for your own motorcycle recovery. (Check AMA, BMWMOA or others.)

Taxes and Fees

All motorcycle rental are subject to a 10% Alaska State Vehicle Rental Tax.

All Motorcycles bound for Prudhoe Bay or Inuvik are subject to an additional Surcharge. $500.00 for BMW's and V-Stroms and $300 for KLR650's. No discounts multi-day or otherwise apply to Prudhoe Bay or Inuvik bound rentals.

Additional Motorcycle Liability Reduction

Our optional Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is $25.00 per riding day. When you purchase this agreement, you will be responsible for only the first $2,000 of bike damages. If you decline this option you are responsible for all expenses. (Please note that the LDW does not cover personal property damage or bodily injury.) The Loss Damage Waiver will reduce but not eliminate responsibility for damage or theft of the motorcycle. The renter must comply with the terms and conditions in the rental Agreement. We recommend that you contact your motorcycle insurance carrier to see if you are covered for rental motorcycles.

Deposit Payment

A $500.00 per motorcycle non refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to reserve your motorcycles. If the total cost of the motorcycle rentals is less than $500.00, the full amount of rental will be considered the deposit. The deposit will be applied to the total cost of the rental. The total balance for the rental is due 30 days prior to pickup.

Balance Payment

Full payment for motorcycle rentals is due 30 days prior to rental pickup date.

Damage Deposit

A damage deposit is taken on a Visa or MasterCard. We do not charge the card, we simply authorize it. The authorization is released upon return and inspection of the motorcycle. Sorry, no Debit Cards for the damage deposit!

Damage deposit amount:

1. $1,000 for Yamaha XT225, Yamaha XT250, Kawasaki KLR 650, Suzuki DL650

2. $2,000 for BMW 650GS, BMW 800GS, BMW 1200GS, BMW 1200GS Adventure

Early Returns

No refunds for early returns, or late pick-up's, no exceptions.

Prudhoe Bay

**All Prudhoe Bay and Inuvik bound bikes are subject to a $500 surcharge ($300 surcharge for KLRs ONLY). No discounts Multi-Day or otherwise apply to Prudhoe Bay rentals.** (See Terms and Conditions)

For bikes headed to Prudhoe Bay we prepare each motorcycle with fresh sprockets, chains and tires.

Prudhoe Bound BMW motorcycles are outfitted with Avon Distanzia Tires. If you want a more aggressive tire, we can supply Mefos for an extra $350

Motorcycle Storage

Secure storage is complementary to any rider while they are renting a motorcycle from MotoQuest.

Luggage Storage

Secure luggage storage is complementary to any MotoQuest clients.

Alaska Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Rental

Requirements for Rentals from House of Harley-Davidson

21 years of age or older (based on riding experience)

3 years riding experience on 600 cc or larger motorcycles

Driver must possess the skills, knowledge, and ability to operate a heavyweight motorcycle. (Must be able to demonstrate skills upon request)

Valid Motorcycle License

$2,000 damage deposit for Harley-Davidson® rentals

Renter must have a Visa or Mastercard credit card with enough balance to pay for the rental and hold the security deposit of $2,000.
